A case involving three minors was brought before the Murcia Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office on Friday following a criminal complaint. Authorities report that two young girls, both fourteen, were the victims in a disturbing incident that prompted the investigation. The details released so far indicate that the alleged assault occurred earlier in Espinardo, in a residential area near the Futura neighborhood. The victims, who were acquaintances, ultimately disclosed the events to their families and to the police after returning home. The youths involved reportedly did not have the support of the victims, and the girls managed to leave the location.
The National Police took charge of the case and continued the process of detaining the three suspects. They were identified by the victims as the parties responsible for the alleged assault and are now in custody as investigations proceed. Officers conducted interviews with the victims and their mothers to gather a fuller account of what happened.
Thanks to the girls’ identification, the three teenagers were quickly brought before the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office on Friday morning for formal proceedings.
At the City of Justice, the Juvenile Prosecutor, José Antonio Ródenas, questioned the three youths as tensions arose in the hallways between the defendants and the families. Some relatives were asked to leave the building due to disruptive conduct during the proceedings. The environment reflected the gravity of the situation and the strong emotions involved.
It is noted that one of the offenders lives in Molina de Segura while the other two are from Espinardo. According to reports, all three provided statements in which they described alleged contact with the victims, with the prosecutor’s office evaluating these claims as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The prosecutor requested hospital assessments for the three suspects as part of the process to determine their wellbeing and any immediate needs. Two youths were taken to the hospital facility La Zarza and the third to Las Moreras for medical evaluations.
The defense teams are led by attorney José María Caballero for the minors and attorney Fermín Guerrero for the victims. The legal proceedings in juvenile court focus on ensuring due process, safeguarding the victims, and addressing the needs of the minors involved under the relevant juvenile justice framework.
