The Ukrainian military has reported sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) during February, with a report that drew attention from international media. A British publication, the Daily Mail, cited a recording made by the 406th battalion of Ukraine’s armed forces as part of its coverage of the events.
Describing the footage, the Daily Mail said a completely silent, disk-shaped UFO was captured on camera by Ukrainian troops. The object was observed above the area where fighting has been ongoing, lending credibility to the claim that the sighting occurred in a high-tension zone.
According to the report, the footage was obtained using a DJI Mavic drone. A representative from DJI commented to the publication, noting that the company could not disclose the exact nature of the object recorded by Ukrainian forces. The company did acknowledge that the footage could reflect technical issues in the recording process.
The DJI spokesperson added that an error had appeared in the video, but he did not specify the exact technical fault involved. The statement underscored the importance of careful analysis when evaluating airborne footage captured under combat conditions.
In the United States, a January vote in Congress approved a bill aimed at declassifying documents related to unidentified aerial phenomena, technologies of unknown origin, and potential non-human intelligence. The legislation allows the release of such records from the past 25 years and grants the president authority to declassify materials for national security reasons when appropriate.
