The Day of Family, Love and Fidelity saw the participation of the Russian children and youth movement, the First Movement, across 34 regions. This initiative, backed by the Russian press service of the RDDM, included a solemn program where the first passports are presented to youths who excel in sports, science, creativity, education, or volunteer work.

About 1,500 young people from various parts of the country attended the special ceremony held on July 8. The moment was marked by schoolchildren singing the national anthem and reciting a pledge to be worthy citizens, to loyally serve the Fatherland, and to safeguard Russia’s interests, security, and sovereignty.

As keepsakes, each participant received a passport cover featuring the First Movement symbols and a badge of the organization. The event, carried out by the First Movement with support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was described as a meaningful step in fostering citizenship among younger generations. The organizers framed the presentation of passports to 14-year-olds during the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity as a symbol of the spiritual and moral values that every citizen is called to uphold.

Passports were handed over to the youths by families, heroic mothers, representatives of executive authorities, and notable figures from science and culture who were recognized with the medal “For Love and Fidelity.”

Participants noted that the day featured many kind words and farewell statements that reinforced confidence in the country’s support for their ideas and future plans. Among those expressing encouragement was Vasilisa Ionina, a member of the First Movement from the Choi Region of the Altai Republic, who highlighted the sense of backing spreading through the community. The RDDM also reported that ceremonies in Astrakhan, Vologda, Orenburg, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, the Altai Territory, and the Republic of Dagestan were among the most attended, with participation ranging from 100 to 230 children in a single event.

The event signaled a broader effort for the upcoming academic year. It was announced that first-year students from new regions of Russia would receive school kits from the First Movement by September 1, providing essential supplies to support their education and civic engagement as part of the organization’s ongoing mission.
