Telpark, a company focused on providing parking services in Spain, has expanded into Benidorm by taking over three car parks totaling 1,310 spaces. The firm has acquired a controlling stake in Aljamil Benidorm and will manage the Tomás Ortuño parking lot at the city entrance, which offers 480 spaces; Mercado, located in the heart of the city between the Levante and Poniente beaches with 701 spaces; and Ametlla, on the eastern edge of Levante Beach, with 129 spaces.

With the inclusion of these three car parks, Telpark advances its growth plan across the peninsula. The expansion follows previous moves in the third quarter of 2023, when the company acquired four additional parking facilities—two in Almería and two in Coimbra, Portugal—further broadening its footprint.

With this operation, Telpark now oversees more than 3,700 spaces in Alicante province, where it already managed three car parks in the capital totaling nearly 1,700 spaces, in addition to one in Jávea. Soon, the Puerto de Torrevieja car park will be reopened. It is undergoing transformation as part of the development of a new leisure district in the port area.

Telpark concentrates its business on developing urban mobility solutions that serve citizens, anchored in a model of continuous innovation and improvement. The company coordinates its offerings around the Telpark app, used to reserve and manage parking at Tomás Ortuño, Mercado, and Ametlla as of now.

According to company officials, Telpark users gain access to a broad range of features, including Express Entry, which enables entry without a ticket and automatic barrier opening. Users can also purchase passes with significant cost advantages or reserve a spot for any day without preselecting a date thanks to Multipass.

Pioneering in the sector, Telpark notes that its app is the most widely used and downloaded in Spain and Portugal, with more than four million users and roughly 3.9 million transactions each month. In 2023 alone, the platform added more than 600,000 new users. In Alicante province, the app is a mobility leader with over 6,300 users in the past year, who completed 23,400 transactions, including both locals and visitors.

Additionally, as part of its commitment to advancing new mobility models, the company is deploying a network of electric vehicle charging points. To date, the network surpasses 500 charging points across Spain and Portugal. The acquisition of these three new car parks will also drive an increase in charging points in the region.
