Synergy University is preparing to roll out an online course designed to introduce schoolchildren from across the country to the world of media. The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Movement of Firsts for Children and Youth and the New Media Workshop, with the support of the telegram channel First Movements which publicizes the project. The aim is to give young people a practical glimpse into modern media workflows and media literacy that can serve them in any future career.
The program invites teenagers aged 14 to 18 to join and participate in a structured learning path that blends theory with hands on activities. It is crafted to be accessible to students from diverse regions, ensuring that participants from smaller towns as well as large cities can engage with current industry practices and gain valuable experience.
According to First Movement, participants who complete the media school will have opportunities to contribute to local media presence in their own regions. This exposure is designed to help them build professional skills, expand their networks, and develop a portfolio that demonstrates real newsroom capabilities. The initiative emphasizes practical learning that connects school projects with regional media ecosystems, fostering a generation of informed, capable young creators.
Online webinars will cover the day-to-day operations of a contemporary editorial office. Students will learn how to craft clear and compelling news stories, prepare interview questions, and edit video content for online audiences. They will also gain practical skills in managing social media channels, including planning content calendars, understanding audience engagement, and measuring impact through basic analytics.
Applications and participation in the online webinars are open until April 1, inviting motivated students to apply and secure a place in the program. The process is designed to be straightforward, with clear instructions and flexible scheduling to accommodate different time zones and school commitments. The course emphasizes hands on practice as the best way to master media skills, with feedback from mentors who are active professionals in the field.
