Swiss festival attendee dies after unconsciousness at event; autopsy planned

Authorities reported that a Swiss national, a woman who attended the festival with her boyfriend, became the center of a serious incident. The 1-1-2 Emergency Service received a call just before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, requesting an ambulance for an unconscious person at the festival site.

Civil Guard officers and medical teams arrived at the festival area to provide treatment. Despite their efforts, the individual did not regain consciousness and did not respond to resuscitation attempts.

Completion of medical response confirmed the death. Civil Guard sources indicated that there were no visible signs of violence accompanying the death, though officials proceeded with the standard review process.

Following the incident, a judicial commission stepped in to oversee the case, and an autopsy was to be conducted to determine the precise cause of death and to gather any necessary evidence for ongoing investigations.

Reports indicate the event referred to as Argusino’s illegal party occurred last Friday, drawing approximately 2,000 vehicles toward the Almendra reservoir and was scheduled to continue through the coming day, Tuesday, August 16.
