Seventeen familiar contestants prepare to push their limits in the lush, natural landscape of Honduras just hours before Survivors returns to the screen. The real struggle for survival and cohabitation begins as the group drops from a helicopter into the sea and makes their way to the island. This edition introduces notable format changes from the outset. From the first location-based challenges to the arrival of a mythic figure drawn from ancient Greek lore, Poseidon, the sea god who can bless or sanction events on the journey, viewers will notice a new rhythm in every episode.

The premiere is scheduled for Thursday, March 7 at 22:00 on Telecinco, signaling a fresh era for Survivors. The show is produced by Mediaset España and Cuarzo Producciones in collaboration with Banijay Iberia, and the scale is evident behind the scenes. Telecinco’s site states that more than 200 professionals plus around 70 local staff will be involved on location in Honduras, underscoring the production’s ambition and reach.

Early emphasis centers on the first localization game, a hallmark of the series that splits contenders into two camps. The two sites for this edition, Olimpo Beach and Condena Beach, present markedly different survival conditions and access to privileges, shaping strategies from the start. The palapa, the hub where contestants nominate peers, watch videos, and face eliminations, will also undergo changes that ripple through the competition’s social dynamics.

As in prior seasons, the final winner will claim a substantial prize of two hundred thousand euros. This edition features a production team drawn from Mediaset España and Cuarzo Producciones, with support from Banijay Iberia, and the project promises the level of scale and polish fans expect from the franchise. The on-location team will include more than two hundred professionals and several dozen local staff in Honduras, reinforcing the sense of a large-scale, immersive event.

On-location logistics are equally impressive: two helicopters and twenty boats will ensure rapid movement and safety coverage; twelve game cameras will capture pivotal moments; four kilometers of fiber optic lines will wire the entire operation; and nearly two kilometers of additional cabling will thread through multiple venues. A dedicated diving crew and a medical and psychological team will operate around the clock, safeguarding participant welfare and maintaining smooth production flow.

Where to watch Survivors 2024?

Fans will be able to catch the premieres on Telecinco as the season unfolds, with the first episode guided by host Jorge Javier Vázquez. The broadcasts will include weekly recaps, nominations, and expulsions to keep audiences up to speed on twists and turns at the camp and on the island. A companion program, No Man’s Land, will be shown on Tuesdays by Carlos Sobera, offering analysis from collaborators and family members of the contestants on notable events in Honduras.

Additionally, the Sunday installment, Survivors: The Honduras Connection, hosted by Sandra Barneda, will air a post-episode analysis that places what happened in a broader context and frames the stakes as the episodes unfold. A day-to-day rhythm will emerge as viewers follow the contestants through every challenge and alliance.

Laura Madrueño will oversee program operations from Honduras, coordinating with the various competition departments to ensure the production runs smoothly and maintains a coherent narrative arc across all platforms. For the first time on mitele PLUS, the format will feature daily recaps and free voting for platform subscribers. An exclusive segment titled Who Said I Wanted to Go to Survivors will offer a weekly collection of the most striking images with a sharp, humorous edge. A new format line will further enrich the viewer experience.

The television broadcast will be complemented by extensive digital coverage from Mediaset España, including the Telecinco website and the program’s official social channels on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
