On March 5, 2022, near Kharkiv and close to Chernihiv, a Su-35 fighter jet went down. The pilot, Major Alexander Krasnoyartsev, ejected and landed in a residential area where he was captured by Ukrainian forces. Ukrainian authorities later published footage of his interrogation online.
