A fatal incident in Bolaños de Calatrava, Ciudad Real, involved a confrontation at the entrance of a cocktail bar, resulting in the death of a man following a knife attack. The Guardia Civil reported that a security employee at the venue sustained injuries from a knife during the altercation that occurred outside the establishment.
The event occurred early on Sunday, around one in the morning, according to sources from the Ciudad Real Subcommittee of the Government. The incident happened near Rincon Latino, a bar where a maintenance worker employed as a janitor was present at the time. Preliminary information indicates that the deceased man had been refused entry to the bar due to intoxication. After being barred from reentry, he allegedly returned to the premises and attacked the doorman with a knife. He required immediate medical attention and was transported to Ciudad Real General University Hospital, where he died a short time later as a result of the brain damage sustained during the attack.
