Requirements to receive the subsidy for persons over 52

This aid is designed for individuals who, after meeting a certain age, no longer qualify for unemployment benefits, supplemental unemployment programs, or extraordinary unemployment support.

In addition, the subsidy can be collected without a predefined end date until reaching retirement age. At that point, pension payments begin as the main source of income.

Requirements to receive the subsidy for persons over 52

According to the Public State Employment Service’s SEPE website, those seeking to obtain this aid must satisfy the following conditions:

  1. Be in an unemployment status.

  2. Be 52 years old or older on the date the access conditions are met.

  3. Be registered as a job seeker for one month from the end of the unemployment benefit being received. Registration must be kept active for the duration of the subsidy.

  4. Agree to the activity commitment included in the grant application.

  5. Have no own income of any kind exceeding 75% of the minimum interprofessional salary when calculated monthly. If this condition is not met at the time the causal event occurs, the subsidy remains accessible if the criterion is met and documented within one year from that date.
