During the eighth annual Eastern Economic Forum, Special Envoy for Digital and Technological Development Dmitry Peskov drew a comparison between aerial drones and other verticals, underscoring the growing role of autonomous systems in modern infrastructure and defense planning.

Peskov, who serves as the President’s Special Representative for Digital and Technological Development, remarked that the so-called drones have already displaced traditional cavalry in certain military contexts, illustrating the rapid shift toward robotic and automated capabilities in security environments.

Recently, industry observers highlighted a projection that the preferential rental program for drones initiated by STLC could attract investments totaling around 60.7 billion rubles through 2030, signaling strong financing interest from the market and government-linked entities alike.

In related developments, Russia has announced the creation of a new drone suppression system, reflecting ongoing efforts to enhance aerial operations and safety within the national drone landscape.
