A fifteen-year-old boy was seriously stabbed this Thursday in front of the Vedruna School, a training center located in Madrid’s Carabanchel district. The incident occurred as students were leaving the premises, raising concerns about safety around the campus and nearby facilities.
Police sources cited by Efe indicated that not all of the individuals involved in the attack were students from the Espinar Street center in the capital. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to establish the sequence of events and identify the other participants who were part of the group that attacked the victim.
After the National Police arrested one of the minors involved, investigators are pursuing several lines of inquiry, including the possibility of a conflict between members of local youth gangs. No final determination has been made about the motive at this stage, and authorities are examining multiple leads to understand the broader context of the incident.
The confrontation began at approximately 13:05, at the gates of the school and the institute, as students were leaving for the day. During the dispute, one of the aggressors stabbed the injured student in the abdomen, according to initial reports from emergency responders.
Eyewitnesses alerted emergency services as the victim lay on the ground, bleeding. Sable-Civil Protection teams arrived at the scene and found the teenager in unstable condition, according to Madrid’s emergency authorities. The patient received initial care at the scene before being transported for further treatment.
Following stabilization, the student was moved to Doce de Octubre Hospital in Madrid, where doctors described his condition as serious. The hospital admission marks the next phase of a medical response that includes ongoing monitoring and care by specialists while authorities continue the investigation.
