A 79-year-old woman was hospitalized after her partner stabbed her at his home in Marbella, Málaga, on Algorta Street near the Roman Bridge Heights, early Thursday morning.
The incident occurred around noon. A neighbour witnessed the attack, raised the alarm, and emergency services were promptly alerted. The Andalusian Emergency Service mobilized responders and provided initial aid to the injured before they were transported to the hospital for further care.
The elderly man involved, aged 87 and possibly living with dementia, reportedly attempted self-harm after the assault. The National Police subsequently took charge of the investigation and arrested the suspect.
