In St. Petersburg, a gas pipeline officer is under investigation after being accused of harassing a 12-year-old student. The report came from Fontanka and has prompted an official review by local authorities.
The incident reportedly took place in the Vsevolozhsky district. According to statements, the mother allowed her child to ride an ATV when an adult stopped the boy during a walk near the village of Virki.
Authorities say the man guided the student to a storage area where inappropriate conduct occurred. The minor was able to break free and left the vicinity, seeking safety and reporting the incident to caregivers and police.
Following a police inquiry, the suspect was detained. Law enforcement officials identified the 55-year-old resident of Kolpino as the person involved; records indicate he has faced prior prosecutions related to sexual offenses against minors.
Earlier reports note that in Moscow a man was arrested on suspicion of raping his girlfriend’s eight-year-old daughter, highlighting ongoing concerns about child safety and the seriousness of such offenses across the region.
