Spring travel trends revealed by OneTwoTrip study

A travel planning platform analyzed hotel bookings to show where customers are spending the longest spring breaks. In Russia, short getaways are popular, with a preference for the southern regions and well known resort towns. Abroad, many travelers opt for weeklong vacations with a strong tilt toward beach destinations. The study sheds light on how people structure their spring time off.

Within Russia, Kislovodsk leads the list with an average hotel stay of 2.84 days. Kaliningrad follows at 2.54 days, and Krasnaya Polyana sits at 2.51 days. The top tier also includes Esto-Sadok at roughly 2.47 days, Sochi at 2.42 days, Adler at 2.38 days, Zelenogradsk at 2.32 days, St. Petersburg at about 2.26 days, Anapa at 2.09 days, and Kazan at 2.01 days.

Serene beach escapes outside the homeland dominate the foreign picks. Phuket stands out as the most popular spring destination, with guests booking about 6.11 days near Kata Beach, 6.08 days near Karon Beach, and 6.03 days in Patong. Mexico City draws a solid 5.78 days, while Seoul records an average of 5.75 days for spring visits.

Other notable stops include Hurghada at 5.69 days, Pattaya at 5.21 days, Guangzhou at 4.09 days, Alanya at 4.01 days, Ubud at 3.99 days, Dubai at 3.88 days, and Tel Aviv at 3.81 days. These figures illustrate how travelers spread their spring vacations across continents, balancing beach time with urban exploration.

Looking ahead, Russians have signaled interest in summer getaways in Türkiye, Armenia, and Italy, reflecting a pattern of diverse destinations and varied vacation styles.
