The Ministry of Emergencies of Russia dispatched a specialized delegation to Makhachkala to assist in the evacuation of those affected by the blast at a Moscow gas station. A report on a telegraph channel described the actions in detail, outlining how the relief effort is being coordinated across jurisdictions.

According to the report, medical modules were loaded onto an aircraft to move the wounded to hospitals in Moscow for treatment. Medical teams are prepared to deliver rapid care as needed, with the goal of stabilizing patients during transit and ensuring that they receive advanced diagnostic and therapeutic interventions upon arrival.

The victims are to be accompanied by psychologists from the Ministry of Emergencies, as well as doctors from the Centrospas detachment and specialists from the Ministry of Health of Russia. This multidisciplinary team is scheduled to provide immediate psychosocial support to those affected and to oversee medical care during transfer and stabilization processes.

Earlier, Dagestan’s head, Sergei Melikov, announced that August 15 would be observed as a day of mourning in the region in connection with the casualties from the explosion at the Nafta 24 gas station in Makhachkala. Flags across the republic were ordered to be lowered to half-mast to honor the victims and acknowledge the impact of the incident on the community.

Official updates state that 102 people sustained injuries as a result of the blast. The incident took place in the vehicle maintenance building at the intersection of Kulinskaya Street and the Federal Highway, in the village of Novokuli, during work on a vehicle. Rescue crews immediately secured the scene, conducted triage, and coordinated evacuation with nearby hospitals to ensure timely medical intervention for all affected individuals.

Preliminary investigations indicate the explosion occurred during maintenance work within the facility, and authorities are examining the sequence of events leading up to the blast. Investigators are also reviewing safety protocols and structural integrity measures for similar sites to prevent recurrence and to safeguard workers and nearby residents. Ongoing assessments will inform any necessary regulatory actions and precautionary measures across the region. (Source: Ministry of Emergencies)
