Solidarity Companies mobilize to support families at risk of exclusion
Project Solidarity Companies launches another reprint to attract new organizations and institutions eager to stand with one of the province of Alicante’s largest social responsibility initiatives. Now in its fourteenth edition, the campaign focuses on helping families facing exclusion through two practical actions: distributing Christmas support bundles and providing summer financial aid in the form of direct assistance and food vouchers.
Last year’s effort set a new participation record. A total of 142,048 euros was raised through the financial and in-kind contributions of 116 organizations, including companies and corporate foundations across the province. Through the project, 1,800 lots and 30,600 euros in direct aid and food vouchers were delivered to 63 participating organizations. The province is home to 86 associations, and the last edition touched the lives of more than 11,000 individuals.
This year’s campaign has already begun, and companies interested in taking part can join from today through the project’s official channels. Participation runs until November 20. Interested bodies can reach out via the project’s communication channels or by contacting the coordinating team through the project’s official resources, with guidance and updates provided as the season progresses. A note on attribution for this initiative highlights the collaborative effort of local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community groups that sustain these acts of solidarity.
Solidarity companies support the creation of six social homes in Elche
Solidarity Companies is a collaborative project launched by diverse provincial enterprises in 2010 to contribute to the welfare of vulnerable families during the Christmas season. The initiative began with nine participating companies and progressively expanded in subsequent editions. In the most recent year, more than a hundred institutions and organizations contributed either financially or through in-kind donations, underscoring the broad community backing for this important social effort. The project’s impact is measured through the reach of aid and the number of families helped, rather than solely by the size of the contributions, with ongoing commitment from multiple local partners to sustain and grow the program over time.
