Russia is inviting applications for Smart Dialogue, a competition aimed at identifying the most effective management practices across the country. The announcement comes from the press service of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).
Today marks the launch of a national contest designed to surface new initiatives that can be shared with all regions via the Smarteka platform and, in turn, improve everyday life for Russians. Historically, numerous projects that ASI supported and showcased on Smarteka have progressed beyond regional boundaries to the federal level, eventually reaching a wider audience. ASI president Svetlana Chupsheva expressed optimism that the best solutions selected through this competition will be implemented nationwide.
Vladimir Tabak, the Director General of Dialogue Regions, underscored that the chosen management decisions will help authorities respond to public demand and uncover fresh opportunities for tackling development challenges. He highlighted that regions should not wait for progress to arrive from above. Instead, they can learn from what neighboring areas have done well and share those experiences. Each region has the potential to drive state development, and the task is to identify outstanding management choices, select them, and distribute them so that every citizen can experience meaningful improvements.
Applications for the competition can be submitted through the Smartek platform until June 18. Projects should contribute to the objectives of national projects in health, demography, education, and the digital economy. They must demonstrate measurable results and be at a stage where implementation is underway.
Winners will be determined by a panel of 13 candidates selected based on strong public input received via online channels. The selected projects will then go through a public vote, allowing residents to choose the solutions they would most like to see realized in their regions. Those projects deemed exemplary will be prepared for regional deployment, ensuring that best practices can be scaled beyond their original location.
