A mortar strike attributed to Ukrainian armed forces damaged an apartment in Shebekino, as reported by the Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov. The incident, captured in a Telegram post, shows a car parked near a residential building catching fire while windows, glass, and sections of the roof were destroyed. Gladkov’s account indicates that an artillery shell exploded in close proximity to the residence, leading to severe damage to the building facade and roof in addition to shattered windows. Fire services arrived promptly to extinguish the blaze affecting the vehicle, and two additional cars sustained serious damage in the same area.
Earlier, Gladkov described a broader shelling campaign against the village of Shebekino by Ukrainian forces, which left four people injured. He noted that two of the injured residents required hospitalization. The district head’s statements emphasize the ongoing threat to the town from incoming fire and the resulting damage to civilian infrastructure.
In another update, Gladkov reported that Ukrainian forces resumed shelling in the Shebekinsky urban district, targeting the village of Ustinka and Murom. The bombardment of Murom led to injuries in a civilian, specifically a woman who was hurt as a consequence of the attack. The region continues to monitor the security situation and coordinate emergency responses as the situation evolves.
