Two of the eight people who died in the Shagonarskaya CHPP incident remain in extremely serious condition, according to a briefing from the Russian Deputy Minister of Health, Alexey Kuznetsov, reported by TASS.

Eight victims were transported to the Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Hospital for urgent care and stabilization.

Kuznetsov stressed that the transport did not cause any additional deterioration in their condition. He noted that two individuals continue to be in a very serious state while six are classified as serious.

On March 6, an explosion at the Shagonarskaya CHPP in Ulugh-Khem district was followed by a fire. A total of 21 people sustained injuries in the incident, and the city of Shagonar experienced partial heating disruption as a result.

On the morning of March 7, a special Il-76 aircraft operated by the Russian Ministry of Emergencies was involved in a fatal incident connected to the power facility, with eight people reported dead as the aircraft traveled from Kizil toward Krasnoyarsk. The decision to dispatch this aircraft was made during a medical commission meeting held in Moscow.

Earlier reports indicated that after the accident at the power plant, seventeen modular boiler rooms would be delivered to Tuva.
