The shift from summer into autumn is expected to be gentle and comfortable, with early September starting off warmer than usual. An anonymous spokesperson from a Phobos weather center noted that September could bring a gradual warm spell to the city, easing the transition into autumn.
Forecasts indicate that August’s average temperature ran about 2.6 degrees above the historical norm. The meteorologist cautioned that September may see temperatures topping the normal by roughly 1 to 2 degrees, with daytime readings near 20 degrees Celsius in the initial days of the coming month.
The warm spell in the capital is projected to linger through the week’s end, with temperatures holding well above typical midsummer levels.
Up to the coming days, the thermometer is expected to rise further. Nighttime temperatures may hover around 12 to 17 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs could reach between 26 and 31 degrees. The current setup is described as noticeably hotter than what is typical for midsummer.
Cloudy skies and scattered showers are anticipated on Friday, bringing some relief from the heat. Daytime temperatures in that period should stay within the 22 to 27 degrees range.
The hot pattern is projected to persist until the close of the summer period. Experts noted that by the end of August the heat anomaly may carry into the last ten days of the month, with average temperatures rising by around 3 degrees. Nighttime temperatures could dip to 10–15 degrees, while daytime readings would generally fall in the 22–27 degree zone.
