Prime Video and Mediaset announce a major update this Tuesday for season thirteen, bringing fresh developments and a new setting. As previously revealed, the neighbors relocate to a modern building at Contubernio 49. The first three episodes will debut on the platform on November 18, with subsequent episodes rolling out weekly. The full season will be available at an undated Telecinco launch window.
In terms of new plot twists, Alberto Caballero teases an opening that begins with Antonio Recio coming out of jail. The storyline will reveal the newly renovated building where the neighbors now live and explore what happened to each character. The creator notes that the cast members from before will see changes in their personal lives: a new living arrangement for the family, romantic developments for Maite with Menchu and Yoli, and a fresh challenge for her as complications arise.
Among the fresh faces are a marquise who embodies a flawless family image and a president who is exceptionally strict, both of whom unsettled the new neighbors. Antonio Rocio enters the scene to heighten the tension. In front of the Recio family, a group of young children brings a different perspective on life, contrasting with the established dynamics.
The elaborate construction of the new sets for the show required eight months of work. The street and the building’s façade now house eleven fully realized residences. The visual direction has been renewed, and the circular layout has been tailored to fit the personalities and living situations of each character.
Inside the project, there are facilities that support two independent sets and a rear space, enabling a street scene and the portal facade of the building to be lit naturally for filming. This architectural shift was designed to enhance the authenticity of the ensemble and their interactions.
The ensemble cast for episode 13 includes Jordi Sánchez, Nathalie Seseña, Pablo Chiapella, Carlos Areces, Luis Merlo, Fernando Tejero, Miren Ibarguren, Loles León, Petra Martínez, Eva Isanta, Nacho Guerreros, Ricardo Arroyo, and Macarena Gómez. The lineup also introduces ten new actors, including Laura Gómez-Lacueva, Félix Gómez, Carlos Chamarro, Mamen García, Margarita Asquerino, Inma Pérez-Quirós, Álex Gadea, Elizabeth Larena, Jaime Riba, and Álex de la Croix.
