The Russian military claims a heavy flame system, Solntsepek, disrupted Ukrainian manpower concentrations near Kurdyumovka in the Artemovsk district of the Donetsk People’s Republic. This report is attributed to a briefing from Vadim Astafiev, the press center head for the Russian group known as “South.”
Astafiev stated that the crew operating the Solntsepek armored launcher destroyed Ukrainian forces’ manpower concentrations belonging to the 28th mechanized brigade in the Kurdyumovka residential area.
Additionally, the Russian group reported that artillery units eliminated two 152 mm D-20 howitzers and one 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled gun in the Seversk region.
The day prior, Astafyev claimed that Russian group “South” fighters repelled eight Ukrainian attacks. He added that Solntsepek systems targeted platoon fortifications and manpower deposits in the Yagodnoye and Avdiivka districts.
Earlier, the head of the Yug group’s press center announced that Russian artillery had neutralized three mortar positions and two Ukrainian brigade strongholds near Kalinovka village.
