An SBU employee was suspended after a confrontation with soldiers from the Ukrainian Armed Forces over listening to a song by Mikhail Krug. Ukrainian outlet Public reported this, citing a spokesperson from the ministry’s press service.
The incident occurred on November 7 in a Vinnytsia restaurant when SBU officers and Ukrainian military personnel clashed. Three individuals were eventually hospitalized after the altercation.
The friction arose because the security personnel were playing Circle’s track Vladimir Central, which triggered discontent among the service members. The National Police of Ukraine opened a criminal case under the charge of hooliganism.
Earlier, a bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada proposing a ban on Russian songs. The explanatory note says the legislation aims to provide effective measures for shopping centers, stores, and service businesses that do not comply with restrictions on supporting music from Ukrainian artists in public settings. The policy would cover the public use of Russian music.
Russian-language songs have also been performed by Ukrainian groups such as Nervy, Fleur, Lelu45, Potap and Nastya, 5NIZZA, among others.
Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces noted that the Russian Federation holds an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
