Kirill Stremousov, who serves as deputy head of the Kherson region administration, disclosed that Vladimir Saldo, the region’s head, received medical care at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute in Moscow. The statement was made during a broadcast on the Russia 24 television channel. Stremousov added that Saldo was under the watchful eye of medical professionals and specialists at the Moscow institute.

The Kherson region’s vice president stressed that Saldo was isolated from any information program. He attributed the decline in Saldo’s health to exhaustion from overwork, rather than other causes.

Earlier reports indicated that the Kherson regional administration head had been evacuated to Moscow for treatment. On August 4, Saldo publicly announced that after an examination he had been admitted to the hospital, and shortly afterward Sergey Eliseev, the Kherson regional government’s prime ministerial figure, was named acting head. A few hours later, RT cited a source within the regional government who stated that Saldo’s condition was moderate and that he was in a medical coma.

Additionally, the Telegram channel Baza had claimed that there were main suspects in a possible poisoning of Vladimir Saldo.
