The report highlights how salaries in the Community rank ninth nationwide. In Madrid, the average monthly pay sits at 2,077 euros, followed by the Basque Country at 2,051 euros. Navarre comes in at 1,883 euros, Catalonia at 1,866 euros, Asturias at 1,754 euros, Aragon at 1,653 euros, Cantabria at 1,630 euros, and Galicia at 1,620 euros.
Further down the ranking, the Balearic Islands appear next, then La Rioja, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalusia, Murcia, Extremadura, and the Canary Islands, which close the list with an average salary of 1,416 euros. Across Spain, the national average monthly salary is 1,751 euros.
In the Community of Valencia, wage disparity is pronounced between the highest earners and the lowest, ranging from 4,907 euros to 552 euros, a gap of roughly 8.9 times. Despite notable inequality, this gap has narrowed since 2015, when it stood at 11.6 times the difference between the top and bottom pay brackets.
Industry remains the sector with the highest average salary, at 1,724 euros per month, followed by services at 1,576 euros. Construction ranks third, with an average of 1,504 euros per month.
A study conducted by Adecco compared salaries across European Union countries and found that the Valencia Community’s average stood at 1,598 euros, about 27.2% below the EU-wide average. Among the member states, Luxembourg leads with 3,502 euros, followed by Denmark at 3,458 euros, Germany at 3,003 euros, Ireland at 2,920 euros, and the Netherlands at 2,853 euros.
