A recent report from the Russian Ministry of Defense describes an engagement in the Kupyansky direction where a pickup truck and a Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicle were destroyed by grenade launchers operated by the 1st Guards Tank Army of Western forces. The ministry claimed this incident occurred during routine combat operations in the area.
The ministry’s briefing notes that a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle identified Ukrainian military equipment hidden in a forested area toward Kupyansky. It was asserted that this equipment was being used to move ammunition and food supplies to Ukrainian positions, complicating the supply lines for the defending forces.
According to the report, target coordinates were relayed to the command center through secure communications. The anti-tank grenade launcher team, deployed with a motorized rifle unit, promptly moved into firing position and neutralized the targets, according to the ministry’s account.
The ministry added that Russian troops maintain continuous reconnaissance as part of ongoing defense operations in the region, emphasizing vigilance and proactive monitoring during active-duty phases.
In a separate daily briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense asserted that Ukrainian manpower and equipment were degraded across the Zaporozhye direction within the previous 24 hours, highlighting gains attributed to Russian operations in that sector.
Separately, officials noted the development of a new drone suppression system within Russia, described as an advancement aimed at countering aerial surveillance and drone activity associated with ongoing hostilities.
