In a recent official briefing, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 11 unmanned aerial vehicles over four districts in the Central Federal District. The regions cited were Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, and Bryansk, according to the ministry’s Telegram channel release.

The ministry described the downing of these aircraft-type drones as being achieved with the help of on-duty air defense systems positioned to respond to aerial threats. The message emphasizes that the operations targeted a launch that was framed as a terrorist act by the Kiev regime, and that the attempt was thwarted during the night in question.

Also noted were remarks attributed to city authorities regarding additional countermeasures. The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, stated that a significant drone attack near the Naro-Fominsk area and the Odintsovo urban district was prevented on the night in question. Sobyanin also mentioned successful interception of UAVs in a timely manner in the Bryansk, Tula, and Kaluga regions.

Earlier reports from the Ministry of Defense provided a tally of UAVs that had been shot down by the Russian armed forces, reflecting ongoing monitoring and response to aerial threats across the region.
