According to the State Police, National Police officers arrested the individual in Benidorm with a valid travel document. An international arrest warrant for fraud, issued by Russian authorities, was verified at the scene.
The arrest was coordinated by agents from the Benidorm Judicial Police and the foreign affairs unit as part of ongoing procedures connected to asylum requests. The authorities checked the National Police databases and confirmed the existence of an extradition warrant tied to fraudulent activity in Russia.

The alleged acts occurred between 2015 and 2017 while he served as general manager of a Russian company. The firm reportedly suffered significant losses due to mismanagement and technical incompatibilities that affected product purchases and operations, resulting in marked financial damage to the organization.
The arrested individual, who fled justice in his home country, had been sought by Russian authorities for a large-scale fraud offense that carries a potential sentence of up to ten years in prison.
