Russian forces target Ukrainian brigades and positions in Donetsk region

Reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense indicate that units of the Russian armed forces targeted a frontline command post of the Ukrainian 110th mechanized brigade in the Donetsk region. The ministry identified the location as the Tonenkoye residential area, where the brigade was stationed.

The defense ministry added that air and artillery forces conducted strikes on multiple Ukrainian positions. They described operations by the operational-tactical aviation, army aviation, artillery, and missile units that hit a total of 89 Ukrainian units, focusing on manpower, equipment, and firing positions spread across 107 areas.

According to the ministry, since the onset of the special operation, Russian forces have destroyed a broad assortment of Ukrainian military assets. The reported tally includes 402 aircraft and 221 helicopters, 3,457 unmanned aerial vehicles, 414 anti-aircraft missile systems, and 8,330 tanks and other equipment attributed to the Ukrainian forces.

Earlier, the Donetsk People’s Republic militia reported that Russian artillery impacted locations where Ukrainian troops were temporarily stationed near Maryinka, aligning with the ongoing activity in the region.
