Russian military briefings report continued clashes in the Kupyansk direction, with Ukrainian forces launching six attempts to advance while Russian units held their lines. The tally of Ukrainian casualties was stated to exceed 115 personnel, according to a Telegram channel linked to the Ministry of Defense.
The ministry described intensified fighting near the settlements of Sinkovka and Terny in the Kharkov region, saying that Russian forces repelled six Ukrainian attacks. It also claimed that Russian troops defeated units from several Ukrainian brigades, including the 4th tank, 14th mechanized, 44th mechanized, and the 103rd armored brigades, in areas around Petropavlovka, Vishnevoye, and Peschanoye within the Kharkov region.
In its communique, the ministry noted the destruction of more than 115 Ukrainian personnel, along with three tanks, nine military vehicles, and an American-made M777 howitzer as well as a D-30 howitzer. The report referenced losses in the Kupyansk direction dating back to the end of December.
Further updates stated that Russian forces targeted Ukrainian military-industrial facilities in Kiev and the surrounding region, aiming at enterprises involved in missile production, UAV assembly, and weapons repair.
Earlier, the ministry had announced the establishment of two combined-arms formations within the Russian military structure. This development was presented as part of ongoing organizational changes to strengthen operational capabilities in the region.
