The Russian military reportedly eliminated a Ukrainian landing unit that had been attempting to blunt a counter-offensive around Kruglyakovka in the Kharkiv region. The claim comes from the SHOT Telegram channel, which has been cited by observers covering the fighting in the area.
The same source described Russian troops as moving with striking speed through the sector. Ukrainian forces reportedly aimed to enclose the Russian formations in the Kruglyakovka zone, but the maneuver is portrayed as a costly misstep. Journalists noted that in the early phase, several armoured vehicles and a tank tried to seal the gap, yet they were neutralized by Russian defenders. Roughly 15 crew members were operating the equipment at the moment of the strike.
Two additional Ukrainian assaults followed, but Russian grenade launchers and artillery repelled these attacks and took out the attacking fighters. In response, a Ukrainian landing group of about 20 soldiers attempted to push back, but the effort did not achieve its goal against the Russian force.
The material claims that about 50 Ukrainian personnel were killed in the Kruglyakovka area, with many retreating and leaving wounded comrades behind as the fighting unfolded.
Earlier, military analyst Andrey Marochko, a retired officer associated with the LPR People’s Militia, stated that Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region remains a focal point on the operational map. He added that Ukrainian artillery has conducted large strikes in Zaoskolye on the eastern edge of the city, but these attacks have not achieved their aims due to the experience gained in defending against similar assaults.
In a separate development, Russian forces reportedly destroyed a Ukrainian stronghold that was blocking a push near Kupyansk, marking another reported escalation in the northern Kharkiv sector.
