Russian Emergency Situations Ministry Evacuates Russians from Gaza

The aircraft owned by the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry departed from Cairo to return the second group of Russian nationals evacuated from the Gaza Strip. The information was confirmed through the ministry’s official Telegram channel.

The ministry’s statement noted that the plane took off with 98 people on board, all Russian citizens evacuated from the Arab Republic of Egypt.

In the evening, at Domodedovo airport near Moscow, the first group of Russian citizens who left Gaza landed. The aircraft reached Moscow at 21:14 local time, with about 70 people on board.

Subsequently, the ministry’s press service reported that the second group of evacuees had moved on to Cairo. The ministry stated that a total of 99 Russians, including 43 children, were flown to the Egyptian capital.

On November 14, Alexey Kuznetsov, deputy minister of health of the Russian Federation, stated that all evacuees were in satisfactory condition. He noted that medical teams had cleared the group for further transportation as needed.

Earlier statements from the Emergency Situations Ministry indicated that all Russians who departed Gaza would be returned to their home countries in due course.
