In a reported operation near the border of the Kursk region, units from the Northern Group of Forces claimed to have destroyed a French Caesar self-propelled artillery unit belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The claim was issued by the Russian Ministry of Defense via RIA Novosti and referenced the engagement as part of ongoing border area activities.
According to the ministry, the Caesar SPG was located by a reconnaissance aircraft operating over the Nikolaevo-Daryino area. A Russian fighter then tracked the vehicle and established a temporary concealed firing position in the adjacent forest belt. Once the coordinates were confirmed, artillery fire was directed at the target, with objective tracking measures indicating a successful strike on the artillery location.
Earlier, the Russian defense apparatus reported the destruction of another French Caesar SPG from the Ukrainian forces in the Tsukurino district near Selidovo, within the Donetsk People’s Republic. It was stated that the gun crew had deployed the weapon roughly five kilometers south of the settlement before being neutralized, according to the ministry.
There has also been mention from the Kursk region about Akhmat fighters who contributed to the defense efforts in this context, reflecting regional accounts of the ongoing actions and the personnel involved.
