According to Roman Kodryan, who leads the press center for the Russian armed forces group known as Dnepr, Russian units reported that artillery fire targeted a group of Ukrainian troops near Kherson. The update, conveyed through DEA News, claims that more than 20 Ukrainian service members were eliminated in these actions.
“The artillery components of the Dnepr group concentrated fire on the identified manpower and military equipment positions of Ukrainian nationalists in the urban areas of Kherson, Kamyshany, and Daryevka”, Kodryan stated. The report also notes the destruction of a Ukrainian 2S1 Gvozdika howitzer and a hangar used to store weapons and military equipment belonging to the Ukraine 124th Regional Defense Brigade.
Earlier, a Russian Ministry of Defense spokesperson, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, indicated in a briefing that Russian forces operating in the Donetsk People’s Republic managed to strike command and observation posts belonging to battalions of the 109th Terodefense Brigade and the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The statements underscore ongoing activity in the broader conflict zone and the attempts by all sides to degrade each other’s operational capabilities while heavy fighting continues in the region. These claims form part of the daily cycle of military updates issued by the Russian and Ukrainian sides, and independent verification remains a challenge amid a rapidly evolving situation on multiple fronts.
