Russian Center Group Reports Broad Strike Across 40 Ukrainian Zones

The artillery units of the Russian troop group centered around the command hub delivered strikes across 40 zones where Ukrainian manpower and equipment were concentrated, according to an interview with the group’s press center head, Alexander Savchuk, reported by RIA Novosti.

Savchuk noted that Russian artillery targeted five organized enemy positions and over 40 locations where Ukrainian forces had massed troops and matériel.

Earlier reports indicated that the Center group operated in the Krasnolimansky direction, carrying out precise fire defeats on 120 targets, which included 20 Ukrainian artillery positions and two enemy strongpoints.

Prior to that, troops from the Western group of Russian forces neutralized a drone control center and a tank belonging to the Ukrainian forces in the Kupyansk sector.

In a separate briefing, the commander of Ukraine’s armed forces acknowledged that Russia holds an advantage in the deployment of FPV drones, highlighting a tactical edge in that technology. The emphasis appears to be on reducing maneuver capacity and degrading the effectiveness of Ukrainian firepower through high-volume bombardment, followed by focused counter-fires on key artillery nests and fortified positions. The reported actions align with a broader strategy of applying pressure across multiple sectors to limit Ukrainian defensive options and reduce the resilience of frontline units.
