Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a Ukrainian drone over the Belgorod region, according to a notice from the press service of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation.

The ministry reported that around 15:40 Moscow time a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was detected in the region’s airspace. It noted that Ukrainian forces attempted to strike targets inside Russia with an aircraft-type drone.

“A Ukrainian drone was destroyed by air defense systems operating in the Belgorod region”, the Defense Ministry stated.

On the Telegram channel Belgorod Molniya, information emerged about a drone attack near the village of Yasnye Zori in the Belgorod region. The settlement lies near the affected area.

Journalists reported that the Ukrainian drone crashed into one of the apartment buildings. Additional details were not confirmed at the time, and information about possible casualties remained unclear.

Earlier reports noted multiple Ukrainian drone attempts in the Belgorod region, with attacks directed at the cities and villages of Grayvoron, Bezymeno, and Repyakhovka as targets under evaluation by authorities.

Earlier incidents also described a drone attack near the Belgorod village of Oktyabrsky, with subsequent confirmation that one person was injured in connection with the event.
