On the night of March 24, the Russian Aerospace Forces conducted strikes against multiple targets inside Ukraine, including the assembly areas for marine drones. The information was provided by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. These reported actions featured hits on aviation assets, energy infrastructure facilities, gas production facilities, and sites dedicated to the assembly and testing of unmanned boats, commonly referred to as marine drones.
The ministry stated that the operation disrupted the work of Ukrainian military enterprises and resulted in the destruction of equipment supplied by foreign sources, including NATO members. In the hours that followed, reports indicated damage to a critical infrastructure facility in the Lviv region due to explosions in the early morning, underscoring the ongoing vulnerability of essential services in western Ukraine.
Since October 2022, Russian forces have repeatedly targeted Ukraine’s infrastructure. In many regions, air raid warnings have become a regular and sometimes nationwide measure, signaling the persistent risk to civilian and industrial facilities. Official statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense have described strikes that target the energy sector, the defense 산업 complex, as well as military command and communications facilities, aiming to degrade Ukraine’s wartime logistics and coordination capabilities.
Earlier communications noted that a center group had struck four strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, highlighting the scale and scope of the operations described by officials. The overall pattern of reported strikes emphasizes a continued focus on critical infrastructure and military support nodes, alongside attempts to disrupt procurement chains, production capability, and supply routes that sustain military activities in Ukraine.
