The Russian Aerospace Forces’ attack aircraft crew achieved a pivotal engagement in the Krasnolimansk direction, reportedly defeating Ukrainian manpower and light armored formations. The claim comes from RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
As described by the ministry, the Su-25 attack aircraft delivered strikes using unguided S-8 missiles against enemy targets. The pilots conducted the mission with their noses raised and at very low altitude, allowing for close-quarters delivery of ordnance.
The ministry stated that all designated targets were hit, and the flight concluded without incident. After completing the combat mission, the aircraft returned safely to its home airspace.
Prior to this, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that units from the Center group of Russian forces held the Krasnolimansk direction, countering four assaults by Ukrainian forces including elements of the 63rd mechanized brigade, the 12th special forces brigade, and the 5th National Guard brigade. These operations occurred in a context of ongoing clashes.
Clashes were reported in Grigorovka, within the Donetsk People’s Republic, and in Chervonaya Dibrova, in the Lugansk People’s Republic, marking intensified activity in the region.
Additional commentary from a Ukrainian fighter, recorded previously, reflects questions about the causes of the broader conflict and the uncertainties surrounding ongoing military actions.
