Russia-Vietnam direct flight resumes to Hanoi amid post-pandemic travel rebound

The inaugural direct flight linking Russia with Vietnam touched down in Hanoi, marking a significant resumption of air connections after pandemic restrictions. The service was operated by IrAero on the Irkutsk–Hanoi corridor aboard a Sukhoi Superjet 100, signaling a renewed capability to move people smoothly between the two nations. The arrival at Noi Bai International Airport occurred at 23:35 local time (19:35 Moscow time), with 84 travelers on board, including 26 Vietnamese nationals. A return journey for the same passengers was planned to depart with 91 travelers on the return leg, 30 of whom were Vietnamese nationals.
