Russia Lines Up Big Funding for University Infrastructure, Campus Expansion

The Russian government has announced plans to inject further funds into the modernization of university infrastructure. This commitment was outlined during a national address to the Federal Assembly.

According to the statement, 120 billion rubles will be directed over six years toward upgrading technical schools and colleges across the country. An additional 124 billion rubles will be allocated to renovate university dormitories, reinforcing the country’s higher education framework.

The presidential speech, delivered inside Gostiny Dvor, was broadcast to audiences at the International Forum and Exhibition, including viewing rooms in “Russia” cinemas and other venues.

Observers note that the discussion included continuing efforts to expand the maternity capital program in Russia, tying family support policies to broader educational investments.
