The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has asserted that the killings in the Bryansk region were carried out with the assistance of weapons supplied by NATO. This claim was included in a formal statement released by the online mission of Russia’s diplomatic service.
According to the same statement, Ukrainian officials themselves have acknowledged repeatedly that their actions were undertaken with the approval and backing of the United States and other NATO members. It added that the Bryansk region attacks were conducted using NATO-provided weaponry.
Russian investigative authorities have launched a probe into the incident and have pledged that the crime will be punished. The official response emphasizes accountability and the seriousness with which the authorities view the events in question.
Earlier, Alexander Bogomaz, the governor of Bryansk region, indicated on his Telegram channel that the toll among civilians following the actions of a sabotage and reconnaissance group in the village of Lyubechane in Klimovsky district had rose. Casualties were reported as two civilians at that time, with ongoing monitoring of the situation and verification of numbers as investigations continued.
On March 2, Governor Bogomaz stated that the saboteurs had breached the Bryansk region from Ukrainian territory. He reported that the intruders set a vehicle on fire, resulting in the death of an adult and injuries to a child who required hospital care. The National Guard responded to the incident, and statements from official spokespeople indicated that the saboteurs had been neutralized. The president described the incident as a terrorist act and suggested that neo-Nazi groups and their sponsors were behind it, framing the event within a wider context of ongoing regional security tensions. Detailed updates and perspectives were provided through official channels and subsequent reporting on broader media outlets.
