Roscosmos is set to launch a carrier rocket bearing the corporate emblem of the international exhibition and forum named “Russia,” ahead of its November opening at VDNKh, as announced through the Exhibitions Telegram channel. The mission Soyuz MS-24, aboard a Soyuz-2.1a launcher, is scheduled for September 15.

The crew will reach the International Space Station via a rapid, ultra-short trajectory. The flight duration is expected to be about 3 hours and 14 minutes.

The crew roster includes Oleg Kononenko, deputy director of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center and commander of the Roscosmos cosmonaut corps, along with cosmonaut Nikolai Chub and NASA astronaut Laurel O’Hara.

The exhibition-forum logo for “Russia” was introduced earlier in the year, marking a bold visual identity for the event.

Forum organizers explain that the corporate identity draws on six key periods in Russian history. Each letter in the logo references a specific era, from the era of Prince Vladimir and the Grand Duchy to the Kingdom of Russia, the Russian Empire, the USSR, and the modern Russian Federation. The evolution of the font shapes mirrors the cultural and national progress across centuries.

Natalya Virtuozova, director of the Achievements exhibition “Russia,” notes that the display will highlight the nation’s leading work in science, technology, culture, and education.

“Launching a rocket bearing the exhibition emblem is a striking moment on the eve of the country’s largest event,” Virtuozova commented, underscoring the symbolism of space exploration as a national milestone.
