Senior naval officer Denis Nikitin died on November 10 following an attack by an unmanned boat operated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to accounts from events near Crimea, Ukrainian forces targeted the Black Sea Fleet base located in a coastal settlement. During the operation, four unmanned boats were deployed, including a landing vessel of Project 11770 Serna. This vessel, which Nikitin commanded, was among the units engaged in the assault intended to disrupt security arrangements in the area and to challenge the fleet’s readiness.

On November 14, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported the death of Guard Lieutenant Colonel Yan Sukhanov, who served as the chief of staff of the 810th separate naval brigade of the Black Sea Fleet. Additionally, in October there were reports of the death of Ivan Denisov, a master of sports in short-track speed skating, who was reportedly located in a special military operation zone.
