Civil police in Elche apprehended a man who has been credited with a series of robberies in Novelda. The suspect is believed to be responsible for a broad range of stolen items, including jewelry, electronics, appliances, tools, musical instruments, and even furniture. He was captured a few hours after authorities received a report from an injured party. The Civil Guard is actively pursuing additional leads to identify other possible owners of recovered items.

Early in the morning on July 19, a neighbor in Novelda alerted the Civil Guard after the suspect allegedly forcibly entered a residence in the High Horn Takeoff area. Quick action from officers stationed at the Novelda Civil Guard Post sent units to the scene. Despite their rapid response, the suspect managed to slip away through a nearby field while abandoning the vehicle used in the break‑in.

Investigators from the Field Office of the Novelda Civil Guard launched a coordinated inquiry to identify the person behind the break‑in. Within hours, investigators traced the suspect to Elche and proceeded to arrest him, advancing the case with strong, timely evidence gathered at the scene.

The suspect is said to have obtained a wide array of items using his own participation without any other individuals involved, traveling in a small car. In addition to the vehicle, investigators recovered a substantial assortment of objects that had been taken from victims, including pieces of jewelry, audio and video playback devices, technology and telecommunications equipment, virtual reality headsets, archival cameras, binoculars, musical instruments, small domestic appliances, electrical devices, and even pieces of furniture. All recovered items were identified by the callers and subsequently returned to their rightful owners.

Authorities from the Novelda Civil Guard continue with their inquiries to locate additional victims who may have fallen prey to similar thefts. Anyone who believes they may have been robbed in the vicinity or at related locations is urged to contact the Novelda Civil Guard Post and share any relevant information that could help expand the investigation.

The detainee was remanded to the appropriate judicial authority as the case proceeded. Elche Instruction Court No. 5 ordered the individual released under monitored conditions while formal charges related to the alleged actions in multiple locations across the Valencian Community are reviewed. The accused is described as a 41‑year‑old male of Spanish nationality with a history of prior offenses tied to similar conduct in the region.
