The representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Armistice Joint Control and Coordination Center reported that Ukrainian troops fired on the suburb of Gorlovka, specifically the village of Panteleimonovka, using shells standardized by NATO with a caliber of 120 millimeters. The claim was relayed by TASS. The office noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched the bombardment from the Novgorodskoye settlement at 06:40 local time, with a total of seven shells striking Panteleymonovka. This event marks what is described as the first attack by Ukrainian security forces on DPR territory in a single day.
Earlier, the same representative body reported another shelling in Donetsk, referred to as old APU activity, with three 155 millimeter shells fired from the Pervomaiskoye settlement at 23:33. Independent assessments of the incidents have varied, but the DPR side maintains that these strikes contribute to a pattern of cross-border hostilities in the region.
Separately, according to a briefing by Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Aviation Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed a hangar housing American M777 155 millimeter howitzers and eliminated up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen involved in the bombardment of Donetsk. The briefing framed the operation as part of ongoing Russian air power actions targeting matériel and personnel linked to Ukrainian attacks in the area.
