Reconciliation Center details close drone encounter over Syria

Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit, who serves as the deputy head of Russia’s Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria, described a tense encounter between a pro-American coalition MQ-9 drone and a Russian Su-35 fighter in Syrian airspace. The incident occurred over the northern reaches of Syria, as part of routine air operations conducted by the Russian Aerospace Forces. Kulit stated that the MQ-9 reconnaissance and strike aircraft came within a dangerously close proximity to the Su-35 during a mission designed to monitor and secure airspace west of the Euphrates River. These remarks align with official Russian accounts reported by TASS, which covered the scheduled flights along the border region on that day.
