The Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov reported that since the start of the conflict, more than 26,000 Chechen fighters have been deployed to the special military operation zone in Ukrainian territory, with current estimates exceeding 7,000 fighters actively in the front lines. These figures were shared on his official telegraph channel.

Kadyrov noted that from the outset of the invasion in February 2022, about 12,000 volunteers have been sent to Ukraine and underwent an accelerated training program at a Russian base in Gudermes.

He added that with support from the regional public fund named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, 1,014 pieces of special equipment were provided for the operation. This included 145 armored vehicles, 931 quadcopters, 344 night-vision devices, 325 thermal cameras, 138 anti-drone systems, more than 50,000 sets of modern field gear, 28,673 communication devices, and a range of additional supplies for the needs of the operation.

Kadyrov also stated that he informed the Russian president about the participation of Chechen units in the special operation, highlighting their achievements, equipment, and combat training, as part of ongoing coordination with Moscow.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian president announced a military special operation in response to requests for assistance from the leaders of the LPR and DPR, intended to protect Donbass. This decision has since influenced the trajectory of sanctions discussions, with the United States and its allies initiating new measures in response to the developments.

Additional updates were provided via social media channels as coverage continued to unfold across various platforms and outlets, reflecting the evolving nature of the situation on the ground.
