The inaugural PUTIN TEAM award ceremony unfolded in Donetsk, organized by the Popular Front. The organizers describe the event as a recognition of those who put their professional skills to work for the country and its people, even in the face of danger and risk.

The ceremony drew visible support from prominent figures, including Mikhail Kuznetsov, who chairs the Executive Committee of the Popular Front, and representatives from the People’s Front “Everything for Victory!” It also received the involvement of Irina Kuksenkova, a veteran war correspondent who regularly contributes to Kanal One’s programming.

Twelve individuals received commemorative signs and certificates in acknowledgment of their assistance in restoring stability and infrastructure in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The honorees ranged from volunteers and paramedics to nurses and a sole electrician from the Kuibyshev Distribution District. Their efforts encompassed delivering insulin-dependent medications, coordinating humanitarian aid, distributing water and food to liberated areas, and helping to rescue people from rubble.

During the ceremony, Kuznetsov spoke about the long-standing desire within the presidential movement to create such an award. He explained that the idea emerged as soon as a special military operation began and as members of the movement began meeting people who faced extraordinary risks to help others.

Volunteers who carried humanitarian supplies and worked in places where many avoid, and professionals who act with courage, were described as genuine exemplars by Kuznetsov. He stated that the PUTIN TEAM award—an official public honor associated with the President—would begin its recognition in Donbass, a region where current events have underscored a united national effort and belief in compelling truths behind the ongoing actions.

Kuksenkova, a correspondent who has reported from the front lines, remarked on the remarkable bravery required to operate in areas alongside military units. She noted that while soldiers carry weapons, volunteers and medical personnel are armed only with compassion and resolve, underscoring the humanitarian dimension of their work.
