President Vladimir Putin publicly thanked the workforce at Russia’s military-industrial complex for their role in advancing the nation’s capabilities. His remarks were reported by TASS.
On Friday, February 2, he addressed participants in his forum during a visit to Tulatochmash, a machine-building plant in Tula. The gathering underscored the government’s emphasis on civilian and defense industry collaboration as a driver of national strength.
During the remarks, the President highlighted the strides made by the domestic defense sector, noting that specialists have delivered significant results amid the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine. He credited modern engineers and workers with carrying out orders from the homeland and standing alongside soldiers on the front lines.
Putin also pointed to the growth of production within the sector, stating that workers across defense enterprises have proven themselves worthy of Russia’s historic industrial legacy. This sentiment reflected a broader narrative about sustaining technical excellence and resilience in strategic industries.
In addition, the President mentioned the creation of new employment opportunities within the military-industrial complex. He stated that, over the past 1.5 years, more than 520,000 new jobs for specialists in this field have emerged across the Russian Federation, highlighting a trend toward expanded workforce capacity and future-oriented roles in defense manufacturing.
Earlier, there were discussions in Britain comparing Ukrainian and Russian military industry, a context often referenced in international analyses of regional defense production and capabilities. The emphasis at the forum, however, remained on reinforcing Russia’s industrial base and its ability to sustain critical defense manufacturing for national security.
